Indian Navy shows the US how to get things done.

We had to be taught, someone had to show us what to do. Our country has become impotent, I know this is not what you want to hear, however, it is what you need to hear.

I’m certain everyone has heard that recently the Sirius Star, a tanker from Saudi Arabia was taken over by pirates on it’s way to the United States. The pirates hijacked the tanker approximately 520 miles or so off the coast of Mombasa, Kenya. This is a large ship people, about 3 times the size of a US aircraft carrier. The crew of the Sirius Star was made up of 25 individuals 2 of which were British.

Pirate activity in this area has increased to more than double in 2008, and these pirates are getting bolder and bolder, heading further out to sea, and taking on larger targets.

Many say, well what can be done? The United States needs to a grow a set, we have become so impotent, we don’t want to offend people, we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings. Were America darn it, we were a great country. What happened? Have we become so politically correct that any country could just stroll into the US and take our country over without a shot ever being fired?

Well there was some concern over the incident, here is what Lieutenant Nathan Christensen, a spokesman for the US Fifth Fleet, said, when asked whether the navy was taking action to rescue the tanker, “We are evaluating the situation.”

Andrew Linington, from Nautilus UK, the seafarers union had this to say, “Tankers of this size are usually safe from attacks. It’s a worrying escalation.”

You are right thats a lot of talk, what happened to action? Are we so afraid of these pirates, or are we afraid of what the world will think of us if we take action? Do you know why the US Navy was established? Just do a google search and you can find out, it was created to protect our ships from Algerine pirates. So many ship were lost to these pirates by 1793 that Pres. George Washington asked congress to approve a bill authorizing the creation of a naval force to protect American merchant vessels from these pirates.

The pirates have ordered a ransom of $25,000,000.00 or else. “The Saudis have 10 days to comply, otherwise we will take action that could be disastrous.” Mohamed Said said from the ship.

The Indian stealth frigate INS Tabar, one of dozens of warships from several countries protecting commercial shipping lanes in the Gulf of Aden, sank a Somali pirate ship Tuesday after coming under fire, navy spokesman Nirad Sinha said.

What did the Russians have to say? Russia’s ambassador to NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, meanwhile called for an international ground military operation in the region to crush piracy, to boost sea patrols that are yielding thin results.

What did Malaysia have to say? Noel Choong, head of the piracy reporting centre at the IMB in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, said “the situation is already out of control,” but praised the Indian navy for striking the mother ship.

The US, meanwhile, said it would be seeking support in the United Nations for a resolution to tighten international measures against Somali pirates. Why are we still even involved with the U.N. It’s mostly our money funding it anyway.

We need to take some lessons from these other countries, we don’t need anyone’s approval, we will protect US interests at all costs, if you don’t comply, there will be a price to pay.

Now I know I have hurt some feelings here, but, it needs to be said. Let’s get our country back. Let’s hear from you.
